WRAP(S)IT

The WRAP(S)IT arises through only natural actions: sewing, folding, rolling and tightening with a ratchet strap. Since this approach doesn’t ask for any kind of chemical addition or high energy actions, the object stays ecological and easy to produce.

The base of the WRAP(S)IT consists of  series of unfinished carpet remnants. The amount of remnants used is basically infinite, the more carpet is used, the bigger the WRAP(S)IT becomes. This results into more seats.

By using the carpets inside out, the object gains independency from the pattern and obtains a unity between the different types of carpet, through the recurrent propylene backing.

By adding one’s own elements, which are recycled and thus reduce the waste, new possibilities to personalize the WRAP(S)IT arise. Enrolling elements such as a lamp, the backing of a chair, etc., all is possible.

WRAP(S)IT, a new and easy concept to recycle a large amount of carpet  remnants into a sitting object.
