Lessius Mechelen aims at continuing Mechelen’s furniture tradition with its postgraduate in furniture design.
The aim of the course is to create innovative concepts from artisan or industrial (im)perfections and experiments with materials, forms and structures implemented on dummies and prototypes.
The programme promotes the approach of and cooperation with designers, crafts and industries.
A thorough analysis of the context and the involvement in the implementation leads the furniture designer to permanent creative actions, thoughts and designs.
